At Advanced Mechanical Systems, Inc. our goal is to provide the very best service while remembering the safety of our customers is our number one priority. In recent months, there have been several instances in the news where the relief valve on a boiler has become lodged in the closed position, causing an increase in boiler pressure that resulted in boiler explosions. In one instance, it resulted in a loss in life. Therefore, AMS has instituted a company policy in line with manufacturers recommendations and joining with many others in our industry that we will be testing every relief valves on boilers and/or water heaters during every scheduled maintenance of a system or anytime a faulty valve is suspected. If the relief valve is found to be faulty it will be replaced with a code approved relief valve, this will be provided at a discount rate to our normal pricing if the occurrence is during a normal maintenance. Please rest assured the testing of such valves is free and our interest is solely in the protection and safety of our customers.
